How to safely jump start a vehicle

The reasons why your battery could be flat are:
-          You left your light on
-          The change of weather temperature has affected your battery
-          Your battery is more than 3 years old
-          Your alternator is faulty and not charging your battery
-          There is a faulty accessory that is draining your battery
-          Your are not using your car often enough for your alternator to fully recharge the battery

What you can do to get your car going again:
-          Use a jump starter if available.
-          Use a pair of jump start cable with another vehicle that has a working battery to jump start your engine.
-          If you have a manual transmission and some help you could push start the vehicle.

So if you own a jump starter you won’t have to flag down another  vehicle for a jump start.

The jump starter:

Before you proceed make sure your jump starter is fully charged it’s important to keep them fully charged at all time not just for readiness but also because it’s better for the battery it will last longer.
Before you connect it to your car check your battery connection to make sure it’s clean with no corrosion.
Make sure your vehicles lights, A/C, stereo, cigarette lighter port and anything else consuming electricity from your battery is off.

Crank your vehicle for 5 seconds maximum. If the vehicle doesn’t start wait a few minutes and try again.

To remove it:
-          Turn the jump starter off.
-          Disconnect the negative (- Black)clamp.
-          Disconnect the positive (+ Red)clamp from your battery’s positive terminal.

Keep your car running so that your alternator recharge your battery.

Other main  functions:
-          Some jump starter include a compressor which is convenient if you have a flat tire or want to inflate some  a mattress.
You won’t have to use your car battery for the compressor.

-          The inverter come with a USB connection, a cigarette lighter and 240Volt connection this allow you to connect different accessories.

Recharging your jump starter:

It’s important to have a 240Volt and a 12V cigarette lighter plug to recharge your jump starter on the road.
