It’s not always easy to choose which car to buy considering the number of Brand available.

It really come down to what  is your budget and what feature do you want with it and how new do you want it.

 Something to know is that a car loose a lot of it’s value in the first 2 years. Sometime It's worth considering a second hand car ... it won't cost you so much ! and they are more negociable. 

A few things to consider are what Brand do you like, diesel or petrol engine, how many seat, the look !

A point also important to check is what the yearly maintenance cost and what is the fuel consumption.

Mercedes GLC

Starting price: $64,490

Mercedes-Benz puts a premium on comfort rather than sportiness.

The refinement and features of the new medium-size luxury SUV are quite welcoming.

Lots of boot space at the back with the hands-free tailgate system and there’s a rear 12-volt socket for a portable fridge. The back seats fold to had more space.

The leather seating is standard in the GLC 250, as are the 20-inch rims, keyless entry, tinted windows and a Driver Assistance Package.

The 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 155kW and 350Nm; it’s bookended in the GLC range by a 2.1-litre turbo-diesel in two ratings: 125kW/400Nm (GLC 220 d) and 150kW/500Nm (GLC 250 d).

The power is fed to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission, which flicks smoothly and rapidly through its ratios either automatically, or via paddle shifters on the leather steering wheel.

Lexus NX200t,

Starting with the entry-level Luxury model $52,500 plus on-roads.

Lot’s of option are on offer:

heated and electrically-operated front seats

Attention to detail and finish in the cabin are brilliant quite compact for easier access for the driver.

The NX debuts a new 2.0-litre turbocharged engine – the first turbo engine for Lexus. 

The resultant outputs - 175kW of power and 350Nm of torque – are on par with prime rivals. 

It has fewer ratios than most rivals (6 which typically have between seven and nine)

Fuel claim average consumption of 7.7 litres per 100km, something which is in a mix of predominantly urban driving.

The car feel more sporty as the suspension are firm.

Audi Q5 2.0 TFSI

Price: $63,600

In the same range as the previous cars.

The Q5 has a strong athletic look, while maintaining a nice air of pomp, too. Its well-proportioned body sits on 18-inch aluminium wheels, standard. 

High gloss blacks, carbon-fibre reinforced plastics, chrome, wood and leather finishes are tastefully combined to create a luxurious finish.

This models is equipped with idle stop-start technology.

The 2.0-litre models turbo-petrol (TFSI) and (turbo-diesel) TDI guise. The diesel engine develops 130kW at 4200rpm and 380Nm from 1750rpm, with the petrol engine delivering 165kW at 4500rpm and 350Nm from 1500rpm.

Toyota Kluger

The car its spacious and has plenty of power just a quality car.

Durable, capped price servicing is cheap, the engine is responsive and breaking power top shelf. Very safe and reliable vehicle!

 Highway driving gets around 9.3ltrs per 100k.

The car looks impressive and sounds really good when you put the foot down. Vision is excellent.

Rear camera has good vision and sensors are placed well.

Toyota Kluger retains its trusty 3.5 litre petrol engine, however unlike most of its competitors there is no diesel engine.  

The engine produces 201kW and 337Nm of torque, the engine is matched to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Overall the size of the car, with engine and the six-speed transmission affect the fuel consumption.

As a mechanic point of view these car are really good value the Mercedes being the more expensive I believe it would also last longer.
